Mission statement:
Our Vision and Mission Statement is that we are entering a phase of planned growth and the development of Deaf Essential Access Forum as a whole. The Forum encompasses a wide range of multi-disciplinary issues affecting and improving Quality of Life to local Deaf; Hard of Hearing; Hearing Impaired; Deafened and Deafblind people:-
- Promote and improve effective communication access in education, health and social services under the theme of health and disability, social welfare, culture and language
- Improving Deaf awareness access in education, employment, health and social services
- Learning and community services through education and training
- Bring about sustainable employment and training in Learners programme to Skill Level 3 and above.
- Increasing the status and participation of Deaf people from diverse background
- Providing specialist support, learning and community services;
- Working toward developing partnership with stakeholders (health, social services, education, employment and training) to bring about continual improvement in the Quality of Life (QoL) of Deaf; Hard of Hearing; Hearing Impaired; Deafened and Deafblind people
- Working with parents of deaf children and education in Outreach QoL programmes
- Implement existing and new government policies to develop Quality of Life programmes (QoL) to Deaf; Hard of Hearing; Hearing Impaired; Deafened and Deafblind people.
- Develop First Stop Shop for Deaf; Hard of Hearing; Hearing Impaired; Deafened and Deafblind people in Swindon and Wiltshire.
- Create Business and community partnership with Deaf Essential Access Forum
